Understandable on all fronts, that is cool. I actually liked most of it, wasn't bad at all. Keep me in the loop and posted with any updates on the new album if you have an inside track on the developments, not asking for info the band wouldn't want you to divulge, but info that can be put out, just in case I miss it elsewhere on the net. 

Richie says they have to have it turned into the label by April and shooting for a September release.

Both the AOF 40th and the iHeart Radio Blu-ray and DVD are missing “This Ain't the Summer of Love” because of a copyright dispute with some that got a songwriting credit, which is kind of lame - how is it a celebration of the album if it’s missing a song?  Can’t remember if it’s Krugman or Waller, but I guess they didn’t like the percentage they were offered and apparently because copyright law is out of date, there isn’t a compulsory rate for video like there is for audio.

Who is that on the drums Ted? Do you know. I know it isn't Chuck Burgi or Rondinelli, he is too young and has that long hair mullet. Is that Rick Downey?

The 89 show was probably Ron Riddle on drums.

Not familiar with him. I didn't see them live for the first time until 93. Then went on to see them a total of sixteen times. I went to the wiki page to go through all their past members. As far as drummers go, I never saw them with Albert Bouchard  , also Rick Downey, Jimmy Wilcox, John Miceli, and Ron Riddle predated me seeing them live. I was familiar with Downey, and Wilcox as they appeared on albums. Everyone thereafter Chuck Burgi, Bobby Rondinelli and Jules Radino I've seen live.

In think Riddle went on to work on scoring for TV IIRC.  He also toured with Stu Hamm for a bit.

Bouchard and Downey are the only ones I never saw, although I traded some emails with Bouchard back in the 90s.  He was kind of a dick back then, but he seems to have mellowed.  Downey seemed pretty cool - he used to hang out on the BOC message board on AOL back then. I think he was doing catering or something.

2015 was the last time I saw them, so it's been right around five years. I started cutting back on paying and going to see a lot of those aging bands that I had seen a bunch of times already. Especially when the prominent members started approaching their 70's age wise and seemed to me to be more of a nostalgia trip/going through the motions kind of show. If this new album is decent it may spark my interest to go see them one more final time though 

I cut back on shows in recent years anyway, so now I try and catch a few that I hadn't seen before. I saw Tate and Queensryche again this year, but beyond that my other shows were Ross the Boss and Allman Betts Band (both never saw) and had planned to see Krokus and Grim Reaper (two more I never saw) before Covid wiped them off the schedule. I went to Yes for the 50th anniversary tour, but likewise that was my last show for them too.

Definitely digging the first three songs released from the new Blue Oyster Cult album The Symbol Remains which will be released tomorrow. These are the first three consecutive tracks to begin the album and shows promise that this will be a very strong release. Love the first two songs linked below, and the third one is pretty decent also.
