It seems we have some major fans of this band on the forum.

Yes you do. The self-titled and Transcendence are both masterworks.

LOVE the first two albums they did.  Only just listened to them for the first time a little over a year ago and can't get enough of them now.

Two of the greatest metal albums of the entire 80s.

It's too bad this band wasn't more productive.  Whether the reason was Midnights drug problem or label issues or whatever, it's unfortunate.  But at least we have those two masterpieces.

I wish I would have been aware of them in the 80s, but I am thankful I at least know of (and love) them now.

Both of those are awesome shows. Totally sucks that there isn't that much quality footage out there of this band.

The first song I ever heard from them was 'Lonely' via the 'Headbanger's Ball' in mid-1989. It was the last video of the night if memory serves. I bought 'Transcendence' a week later. Good album. 'Painted Skies', 'Lady Of Winter', 'Red Sharks', and the title track are my favorites.

Great band, one of my very favorites! I agree that the first two albums are really great, absolute classics. Is there also some love for the other two albums?
Strange and Beautiful was quite the depature from the sound they had, but the album has aged pretty well I think. It has an almost Led Zep vibe with great riffs and solos and Midnight sounds as great as always. The lyrics however are pretty cheesy...

Astronomica brought the old style back. Wade Black did an impressive job on the (Halford like) vocals. There were plans to re-record the album with Midnight redoing the vocals, but this has sadly not happened. I can only imagine how great the album would have been...

Seen the band three times live, one time with Wade, two times with Todd. Each time was an absolute blast!
