Linkin Park

Ok, so with the sudden passing of Chester Bennington may as well take this time to add them to the board and they are a deserving band. These guys have some good songs.

Linkin Park was formed in Agoura Hills, California in 1996 by Mike Shinoda, Rob Bourdon and Brad Delson under the band name Xero. Chester Bennington joined the band in 1999 replacing vocalist Mark wakefield and the band struck international fame with their debut album Hybrid Theory in 2000 which was certified Diamond by the RIAA in 2005 and went platinum in multiple countries. Their sophomore effort Meteora released in 2003 continued their success and topped the Billboard 200 chart. The band has sold over 70 million albums and won two Grammy Awards. Their most recent release One More Light was a more pop oriented album and was released on May 19th of this year just two months before Chester Bennington's sudden death. In between Meteora and One More Light the band released Minutes to Midnight (2007), A Thousand Suns (2010), Living Things (2012), and The Hunting Party in 2015.

Of note: Chester Bennington also fronted Stone Temple Pilots from 2013-2015 releasing an ep High Rise in 2013. He also formed a side band called Dead by Sunrise in 2005 , which released the album Out of Ashes in 2009.

Who knows what the future will bring, but this band will always be known as the lineup below.

Chester Bennington: Vocals
Mike Shinoda: Vocals, guitar, keyboards
Brad Delson: Lead guitar
Dave Farrell: Bass
Rob Bourdon: Drums
Joe Hahn: Samples/Programming

There is no denying Hybrid Theory was a great record IMO. This one was my favorite. In my opinion they have never topped those first two records, that can be said of lots of bands though.

Meteora was another solid release.

I like all these songs listed. but man ya listen to these guys for a while and this is one depressing band. I guess some of the insight into Chester's inner depression really does come through on these songs.

These particular two were hard to watch.

If this was one of the last great live memories he left with, it was a cool one.  :)
