Queensryche Interview Thread

New Q&A from the band, some questions off the beaten path for sure. I wish the guys would start doing some acoustic songs at the radio stations again, but this was pretty cool to see also. A question on kickstarter came up before the band made an announcement, it was funny to see the reaction knowing what we do now.

At least that confirms that they're still with Century Media Records. And I love Todd's reply saying he would give to places that help abused animals. He's such an amazing person!

that looked like an awkward setup, and some really stupid questions lol. I wonder what the Century Media deal is, is a 2 album deal, 3 album deal, album by album deal? I hope they get a good amount of promotion for this release, but it seems to me these days the bands are left to do a lot of self promotion, I don't think these record companies spend a whole lot of that anymore.

So, I'm assuming this is for all interviews with QR. Here's a pretty good one. It has Eddie answering questions which is kind of rare for him. Also, look at Scott's answer to "Not tonight, but just in general. Is that just because you need to move it on the Dartboard Tour or is it just something you wanted to do?". It definitely sounds like they're going to stop the here and there fly in type tours and do one, big main tour.

Awesome find - I'm happy to hear that they're putting together bigger plans for the new album.

Who's the more foolish - the fool, or the fool who follows him?

Geoff Tate seems to have a "vested" interest in being in Queensryche.

Hahaha, the look she gives the camera/probably her mom at 2:29 ("he just said "crappy", hope that's ok") is priceless.

If you've got an hour to spare, here's TLT's recent interview with Eddie Trunk.

I always find it funny how Todd sometimes sounds like Scott when he talks, just his inflections and the like. Maybe Scott gave him interviewing tips?  ;)

Thanks for posting that, Rockox!  I actually listened to it live.  I figured it would be 15-20 minutes and was shocked when it hit the hour mark.  But that's because Eddie was just trying to get Todd to air dirty laundry.  He barely asked about the new album.  That's Eddie, though.  Todd handled it well.  And it was so cool to hear Condition Human played at the end of the interview!

He always takes the high road with the Tate situation. Gotta give him props for that.. Great interview.
