Just picked up tickets to the Platinum Blonde / Lee Aaron show in November. Canadian Rock we are GO.

Steel Panther surprised everyone the other day with upcoming dates for their "Well Hungover" tour. They've got a date in Winnipeg for November 19 so I snatched up some tickets for that. Can't wait. I've seen these guys in Vegas before and they put on an awesome show.

I'm going to see Ace Frehley tonight (3/2) in Tempe. Should be fun! It's been a long time since he's played here (March 2000 with Kiss to be exact).

The Space Ace, the one Kiss affiliation I wouldn't mind seeing live. What kinda set list is he doing these days? post up what songs you can remember that he did and how the show was. I'll have to throw up a thread for him. I loved the Frehley's Comet records back in the 80's. Haven't checked out his recent release, I'll have to do so.

I missed the Operation Mindcrime show at Sellersville, PA. was a Sunday night, didn't work for me, I'll catch them next time.

Next up for me Faster Pussycat In Philly April 28th. Still debating on M3 to catch Queensryche again. At least I'll get the full headline set of Faster Pussycat as opposed to the short M3 set.  ;D

Here's the setlist from the Tempe show 'NJ':

'Toys'

'Rocket Ride'

'Parasite'

'Love Gun'

'Snow Blind'

'Sister'

'Emerald' (Thin Lizzy song from upcoming covers album 'Origins Vol. 1')

'Rock Soldiers'

'Strange Ways'

'New York Groove'

'2 Young 2 Die'

'Shock Me'

'Rip It Out'

Encore:

'Detroit Rock City'

'Deuce'

Again, my biggest problem is the show's duration. Playing only 15 songs is simply unacceptable ( >:() for an artist of that caliber, in my opinion. That said, it was a good balance of solo and Kiss material. Truth be told, Ace's band overall sounds better live than the current Kiss lineup. I say 3.5 out of five stars. I had a good time.

Great set, I like that. Ya know actually, much like the argument about Queensryche's current set list/ set length. Although I would like a couple extra songs added to Queensryche's set, and I suppose a couple more could have been added to Ace's as well (how bout his version Do Ya from ELO, always liked his remake of that for instance). anymore I'm typically fine with an hour and a half set ESPECIALLY if it's in a standing only no seat bar/club. I could take a 2 hour show in a theatre, but I'm not into the close quarters stuffiness crowded concerts like I was when I was younger, so these stripped down shorter sets are actually more appealing to me personally these days.

Weird Al is playing my town in August, so I'll be picking tickets up for that soon. Having been a fan of his since his debut, it'll be fun to finally see him live.

Also, the VIP packages are riDICulous.

The next show for me will be (a new incarnation of... ;)) Bad Company this Sunday (5/22). It'll be weird without Mick Ralphs on guitar, although I have to admit I'm curious to see how Rich Robinson (former Black Crowes guitarist) pulls off the material. I'm looking forward to a night of straight-ahead rock and roll with great weather to match (  :) ).

I took advantage of the Live Nation $20 special that took place this week and ended up with a mid-level seat that was originally $70. No service charge either, surprisingly ( :o)!

I too was looking over the $20 summer ticket master promotion at a few shows, but I missed the cutoff  >:(

I was surprised to see Mick Ralphs not participating on this tour. But Howard Leese is awesome and now the addition of Rich Robinson should be pretty cool, he should fit in with that style well.

I'll be seeing Tom Keifer next month at a local casino. I'm not the biggest Cinderella fan, but I thought his last solo record was pretty good. And there was a cruise or something recently where people were saying he was the best thing on there. Should be a fun show.

You'll enjoy that show Rock, Tommy is awesome. I haven't caught his solo show yet but I've seen video of his recent shows. I've seen Cinderella the last few times they we're out playing both at M3 and in Atlantic City a couple times. He'll play the Cinderella hits along with his solo stuff. Always a great show.

I just saw the Prophets Of Rage show this past Saturday (9/17). Great show and great price ($25) for a seat. Fortunately, Chuck D and B Real have improved their performances on the Rage Against The Machine material.

Earlier footage of the band definitely looked like a karaoke group. They upped their game considerably, to their credit. I'm sure Morello helped with it as well.

Next up is Black Sabbath tomorrow night (9/21) for "The End". Looking forward to it, however, without Bill Ward it's NOT a proper "farewell" in my opinion. I'm glad I won them (thanks KSLX) instead of having to buy them for that reason alone.  :)

With the help of a really cool guy I met on FB, I was able to snag 2 tickets to the sold out Millencolin show here in town tonight. From what I hear, the concert sold out in 10 minutes because the venue is so small and the band has never played here before (so the demand was through the roof). I'm fucking stoked man. Haven't been to a punk show in a few years and have never seen Millencolin live before. I'm gonna have a great time.
