Otis Rush, blues guitarist and singer born in Mississippi in 1935, and is presently eighty two years old and inactive. His long bent notes and distinctive sound was influence to Michael Bloomfield, Peter Green and Eric Clapton to name a few. Unlike many other left handed guitarists Otis played a left handed guitar strung upside down. He moved to Chicago in 1948 and recorded eight singles with Cobra records from 1956-1958, his first single "I Can't Quit You Baby" reached #6 on the Billboard R&B chart, later covered by Led Zeppelin. During that time he also released a few more of his best known songs "Double Trouble" and "All Your Love (I Miss Loving). He continued to perform until 2004, when he suffered a stroke.

Otis Rush has released twelve singles, fourteen albums and two dvd's on various labels over the years. His last studio release was released in 1998.
