I gotta say, and this is coming from me, one of the ones who has defended them on this and gave them a free pass for a long time on this issue (for the most part) that I'm about to bring up.

Looking over recent set lists of the bands limited recent show schedule, since they ended the tour leg with Armored Saint. It appears they have settled back into that pattern of playing at most 14 songs and a meager two newer songs. The old songs that they play are the same ones night in night out. I don't think it is a very good idea to continue this trend for much longer. I realize the band is now just back to doing fly in dates, but these fly in dates tend to be easy guaranteed cash at casino's and the like and they are under no pressure to do more than the minimum. Also, I've noticed a lot of these fly in dates tend be at the same places over and over.

I also know that based on people I talk to when I go to their shows, that the large majority of attendees are repeat customers, most have seen the band several times. It begs the question. How many more times are these repeat fans/customers going to keep coming to see the same fuckin set list and maybe two new songs (most of the time the same two).

I don't expect this band to be playing two hour sets anymore. I don't expect 20 plus songs. But I also don't think an hour and a half show with maybe 18 songs is asking too much from a band who's oldest member is 56.
Scott (53), Michael (55), Ed (56), Parker (30), Todd (43)
and a band with the longevity and extensive catalog of Queensryche's.

I get it, obviously they don't wanna play any of the songs from DTC (understandable), American Soldier (understandable), Mindcrime 2 (understandable).
There is always HITNF, Q2K, and Tribe. Ok they don't wanna play anything from those either evidently. Fine, so be it.

So then we get to, how about other songs from Warning and Rage that don't get played? how about Anybody listening? how about another song or two from Promised Land as opposed to Disconnected? I'll leave Mindcrime and the Empire songs out of this cause most of those (at least the best ones) have been done to death for the most part. It's even starting to get noticeable to me. I gave them a free pass on this for the better part of the last four years. But I can tell ya when my free pass is going to expire. It is going to expire if they trudge this same set list out there playing the same older songs and only two new ones in a 14 or 15 song set come the next proper tour leg that gets scheduled as they release their third record with Todd at the helm.

They will soon have three records under their belt and if they drop the Condition Human songs to play two from the forthcoming new album (much like they did when they dropped the two S/T songs in order to add the CH songs) and continue with the same 12 older songs. I gotta tell ya, I'm not going to be traveling to see that, I will only go if they are playing close to my area in a comfortable venue. I've seen them twenty seven fuckin times now and I have tickets for #28.
And I may just spring for the meet and greet to meet Todd and Parker and get a fresh photo with this lineup, why? because I have a feeling this isn't gonna change so I may only be seeing them a few more times in the future.
I was already tired of four or five songs in this set list back when Tate was still in the band. That accounts for almost 1/3 of the show.

Just sayin  :-\

I don't mind so much that they only play maybe three new songs, especially if they are unwilling to extend their set time. I do think they should be changing up the older songs they play. How about Child of Fire, Deliverance, Before the storm, London, there are a good ten more songs from the early albums they could be mixing in there.

KILLER! Show Saturday night in Atlantic City at Harrah's. Cut a little short due to the time allotments by the venue due to having the two bands (Skid Row) I got there early enough to have seen a good half of Skid Row's set but didn't even bother, opted for a few beverages and a little slots play instead.

They opened with Guardian and played by my count off the top of my head thirteen songs. Todd crushed, the band sounded great, Casey did a great job and Todd jumped on the kit and did the Eyes of a Stranger outro on drums again, that was cool to see. Crowd was into it, nothing but praise and great things said by everyone around my section. This band is cooking live these days man. This was my fourth time seeing the band with Todd (I unfortunately had to eat my Bergen PAC show tickets back in August cause I had to work night shift that night on short notice, and I had 5th row  >:( ) but anyway, these guys are kicking ass live like they haven't done in YEARS! Largely due to Todd's energy and the songs vocals being the way they SHOULD be.

Todd fan boy, yeah, that's me. But for good reason, this band had become so go through the motions and stagnant in Tate's final years with the band both live and on record. You talk about a resurgence  ;D 8)

I was looking at the set lists on setlist.fm for their last ten shows of 2017 dating back to August 25th. After showing some promise earlier on and at least playing three or four newer Todd songs they have reverted back to only playing one fucking new song (guardian) at all of those shows. That is a fucking joke. They better start adding some more current lineup material and change up this set list this year.

Geoff is no better either all the idiots that say he always played the new material live. He has fucking abandoned his last four records live and continues to play mindcrime into the grave.

Just watching this video and noticed that Whip does both his solo and CDG's solo. And I think I remember reading that somewhere. Does he not give Parker any of CDG's solos? What a dick.

uuuummmm.....did we watch the same video?  Micheal's solo was first, then he switched to the rhythm guitar part after that.  The camera didn't pan over to Parker, but Michael definitely wasn't playing that second solo.

As far as the solos go, I know that Michael took on a lot of Chris' stuff (Jet City Woman, Take Hold of the Flame, Eyes of a Stranger, etc) after Gray and Stone were gone.  I was totally fine with that since I don't think that either of them did real justice to the material.  Maybe he just decided to continue to do them after Parker was in the band.  I wouldn't be opposed to seeing how Parker does on some of those solos as I think he's done a great job remaining true to the music.

Ok so maybe I'm high. But at 3:15, isn't that CDG's solo part Whip is playing?

Looks like he switched over to strumming (rhythm) rather than soloing.  Unfortunately, comparing it to the Livecrime version (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gzx4XzDGGVE) didn't help.  There's probably another IDBIL video that would show it though.
