also....

The first one was pretty cool, never heard that song before, I don't think I ever heard of Ultravox either, I had to read the comments to find out who sang it originally...Very good that version. Then I made the mistake of clicking on Ultravox's version from Live Aid, Wow that Sucked , so I'd say that's a good pick there.

The second one I didn't look at the song title before hittin play, I thought they were doing Love Bites from Judas Priest, and then figured out it was Beat It. Never realized the similarities before in those two intro's..... it fooled me lol

Oh, my. Dream Theater covering "Red Barchetta"? I must hear this.

As for the topic, well, everyone else has pretty much covered it (heh), so I will just humbly submit...

Everything on Metallica's The $5.98 E.P.: Garage Days Re-Revisited, as well as "Am I Evil" and "Blitzkrieg."

Gun's and Roses did a pretty good "Hair of the dog" from Nazareth. Probably the best song on Spaghetti Incident, along with that Skyliners doowop cover "since I don't have you"

Judas Priest- Diamonds and Rust, that's an old joan baez song. A Priest classic

I still enjoy the entire cover album by Adrenaline Mob, definitely worth checking out if you haven't.

I wasn't real big on "Whiskey in the Jar," but "Turn the Page" was pretty great.

I don't know if it's too soon to put it in the category of greatest, but the Foo Fighters with Zac Brown on lead vocals did a pretty rippin' cover of Black Sabbath's "War Pigs" the other night on David Letterman.

If we're talking about Sabbath covers on late night talk shows, I prefer this obscure gem:

Dweezil, Ahmet Zappa and John Tesh - The Wizard

Pay close attention to John Tesh - he almost whips his glasses off from thrashing so hard.  :)

I haven't clicked it but I already know the video your talking about, those kids are unbelievable. I also highly recommend the Dream Theater cover, I couldn't imagine having that much talent at such a young age.

Edit* Here is the DT http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6h2h4zIhwuM

Another one of my personal favorites, Fire and Rain covered by Badlands http://youtu.be/TBP7qzYjktY?t=2m30s
