Top 10 Front Men/Women (vocals/charisma/stage presence)
« on: September 16, 2016, 11:31:28 AM »
Now, How bout a Top 10 Front men/women. This one taking into consideration. Stage presence, Charisma, Energy, ability to work the crowd, elaborate stage performance as well as singing/vocals. I split these two lists because I believe some singers are very good at these qualities which does not always equate to being a great singer and vocalist but it is a major bonus for a band when they have that asset.
An example would be David Lee Roth, or Mick Jagger who would never be confused with a Dio or a Rob Halford for instance. However are good singers and Impeccable front men.
I have to think about this one as well.

Fun topic! My kind of front man/woman is the kind who will work his ass off in order to get a crowd going. In my experience, these fit the bill. In no particular order:

1. Dee Snider
2. Jon Bon Jovi
3. Paul Stanley
4. Bruce Dickinson
5. Lzzy Hale
6. Michael Starr
7. Steven Tyler
8. David Lee Roth
9. Sebastian Bach
10. Geoff Tate (fuck it, why not)

I'm also assuming this is meant for hard rock and heavy metal. If not, knock Tate out and replace him with Weird Al.

Just got word that I'm in the running for playing Mick Jagger in a local Stones tribute band. Not being very familiar with the band, I went and looked up some clips. Holy shit I've got a lot of work to do. ;D

Lead singer for Thunder.  Great pipes and funny as hell stage patter.  Their big hit in the US was Dirty Love back in 89-90.  Pamela Anderson (pre surgery) was in the US video.

Man I lived and died with MTV and Headbanger's ball from when cable first hit the air through to the whatever it was mid nineties or whenever the hip hop and bullshit took over on there, and I honestly can't remember that song, cool tune though. I don't think I ever heard of those guy's I'll check some of their stuff out.

I caught the song on the MTV and picked up the CD and was hooked.  Danny sounds better now than ever, just amazing.  Another one of those bands that you wonder why they never hit big in the US.
