BUSH
« on: July 20, 2016, 02:53:11 PM »
Was going to put up a few songs by these guys in the great songs of the 90's but these guys deserve their own spot on here. Bush has several really great tracks. This London band formed in 1992 and their debut album sold 6x platinum. They were one of the biggest selling bands of the 90's. They broke up initially in 2002 after releasing four albums. They reunited in 2010 minus original members Nigel Pulford and Dave Parsons who declined to participate. The band released albums in 2011 and 2014 as part of their comeback.

BUSH are,
Gavin Rosdale- Lead vocals/guitar
Robin Goodridge- Drums
Chris Traynor- Lead guitar
Corey Britz- Bass

Original members Nigel Pulford (Guitar) and Dave Parsons (Bass) were members from 1992-2002

Definitely a big 90's band. I liked a lot of their stuff. Got to see them, I think twice, great live shows.

New song Dystopia. Not bad, decent enough that I wouldn't mind catching them if they come around near me this year.

Saw them Saturday night at Caesars Atlantic City, pretty cool show, great light show. Played pretty much all their hits that I knew and a cool cover of REM The One I Love. 15 song set.

Good set list, surprised they're not doing more than one new tune (Queensryche gets bashed to no end for this) see that, other bands do the same. when you have a solid list of fan favs that is what happens a lot of times. I would much rather hear all of this bands hits then new stuff anyway to be honest.

Unlike Queensryche though, Bush's new material is just kinda there, I don't think I know anything they've done since like 2000 or something like that. So I was fine with just the popular material and that is why I went, to see the hits. Queensryche is a different animal because they are releasing material that is better than anything they've released since damn near the 90's.

Plus QR made a huge deal in the rock press of the new material when they released both of the TLT fronted albums.  When other bands do that (Accept and Saxon come to mind) they play 4-6 of the new songs on the tour portion of the album cycle.   Bush is on year two of touring their latest release, playing a shorter set probably at a casino venue = stay with what folks know.
