This segment will give a good representation of Queensryche live from the Q2K tour of 2000 through 2012's firing of Tate. Giving a good representation of Kelly Gray, Mike Stone, The arrival of Parker and the abrupt ending that came out of the Brazil incidents and the final shows with Tate at the helm.

Even though the quality of the music during these years diminished, I'm still proud of the fact I followed the band all through it. However, what stands out the most for me are the shows from 2005 and 2006.

These were arguably their strongest years as a live band since 1995. I credit Mike Stone for that. I thought he fit in the band just fine. Too bad he really didn't get the respect he deserved, in my opinion ( 8)).

P.S. Hey 'NJ', where's a live clip of 'Open' from the 'O:M 2005' tour? Hopefully we'll see that sometime (  ;D )!

I'm not done yet, I'll be completing this with footage from 2005 to 2012  ;D You can be sure to get at least one version of Open.

I totally agree with Mike Stone not getting his proper credit in the band, I saw them numerous times during the 2003-2008 time frame, with quite a few in that 2005-2006 frame. IMO the shows did not start losing their luster somewhat until after 2009, and that was a combination of three things, again my opinion.
1) Tate's vocal diminish, lazy performances
2) New material not being up to par
3) An overall "going through the motions vibe" from the entire band and lack of energy.
All three of these were corrected upon Todd's joining the band. Parker gets a pass during those last few years with Tate because he always seemed enthusiastic, performed very well under all the circumstances and did his job well.

These years , as I stated were still (at least until the Cabaret debacle and DTC shows) worth while and still had something to offer, albeit nowhere on the radar of the 80's and 90's shows. As for the albums, I can find multiple songs that I enjoy on everything with the exception of American Soldier and Dedicated To Chaos, those two not so much, very little. I prefer both Tate records (FU and The Key) over those two records.

Fair comments 'NJ'. I agree with #3 the most. The most glaring example to me was the 'Dedicated To Chaos' tour in 2011. In short order, they were completely done with each other by that point.

As for the 2010 'Cabaret' tour that was simply embarrassing. A decent set list ruined by the lame visuals. Perhaps the only time in my life where the "show" didn't enhance the music, it DETRACTED from it (  :-[ ).

Here's where things start to go down hill in my book, I thought a lot of the 2008 and 2009 live shows were pretty good quality. More often than not I thought Geoff still sounded good. He certainly looked better pre Pit bull and Ernie and Bert hair era's and the band still was bringin it. 2010 beginning with the Cabaret I think the wheels started to come off, and for whatever reason they really started to go into mail it in, going through the motions mode. This is also when I think Tate's voice suffered the most significant high register decline and you can easily see the chemistry really starting to get progressively worse as we all know and would not last for much longer. So here are the last few Tate years from Cabaret to Implosion.

Decent quality, but not the best. I have a better quality version of this on a bootleg, but I forget which show it was.

If you want a pretty decent quality dvd from the 99 tour, I can dig up and let you know which show I have and PM you the source where I got mine if you wanted to obtain a copy. Let me know. They have other shows as well.

That goes for anyone else too, give me a shout on PM if you want the info, I have two really good sources  8) and they have a lot of good stuff, not just Queensryche.
