Rival Sons

Has anybody checked this band out yet? They are the opening act on Sabbath's farewell tour and surprisingly they're more classic rock sounding than metal. Zep influenced obviously as you see on the two tracks listed below but when you have Jimmy Page and Robert Plant championing  the music and also Ozzy handpicked this band to open the tour, I think this band is definitely going places and should be checked out if you haven't heard of them.

Not bad, I like those two songs. I hear the Zeppelin influence in the second one. That first one though along with the three I'm going to add I hear a lot of 70's classic rock influences, I hear more of a Bad Company/Humble Pie type vibe (which is what precipitated me throwing up the Humble Pie thread) Also heard some White Stripes sounding stuff (Jack White can definitely pull off that classic 70's sound as well). I like these next three. Have to keep an eye on these guys, not bad at all.

They're good as well as Electric Man...I can hear a White Stripe vibe in there. The 1st song I posted has the riff from Out On The Tiles by Zep in it and of course the drummer is a little influenced by Bonzo too.

I think the guitar player is a little more experimental with his sound, it would be easy to plug in to the amp and go but he uses two big pedal boards onstage to create his sound. So I can hear Jack White and also Jimmy Page slightly too.
