There was an interesting thing on Operation: Mindcrime's FB page recently, where Tate answered some fan-submitted questions:

https://www.facebook.com/operationmindcrimeband/posts/10157721302250523

"4. I've never had the opportunity to attend the real Queensryche in concert. Do you think there will ever be a chance to kiss and make up with the other guys?? I hope yes though the chances are probably 0. But never say NotInThisLifetime

"Hi Roby,
I have been playing with a lot of different musicians and I enjoy it immensely. I would welcome playing with Eddie, Michael, Scott and Chris either together or separately at any time. I never had a problem with any of them.

I was hurt for a while and especially with things that were said that were aimed at hurting me but I understand that one person in particular was going through something and I had no idea what until recently. I was sad to know we couldn't have spoken about everything and avoided the fight and in the end I would just say that I have a love for all of them.

I started playing music with them so long ago and they are, each one of them, a part of my story and I don't regret any of them. You can't really love some one for so long and think that love will disappear completely. We made Queensryche, each and every one of us.

It was all of us and in our own ways we made it what it was. It becomes less and less of a living thing and more of a commercial entity with each change of players."

Sure is a change from things he's said over the last year, innit?

I suppose this qualifies as reaching out somewhat. That said, I wonder if the guys have seen this? Interesting indeed. Nice find 'Rock' ( 8)).

Good interview with Geoff Tate with Metal Wani. despite the click bait headline and lead off paragraph on blabbermouths quotation from the interview. This is a solid interview.

New final chapter of the trilogy (yet unnamed) to be released in September. New acoustic tour dates in the works, and a break from activity coming, along with as yet in announced live guest appearances this summer.

Interesting interview.  But OK, wait a minute here...what supposed "fan backlash" in regards to Todd is the interviewer talking about??  Brian, is that you working for Metal Wani?

Dendroica, This little sense of "fan backlash" I believe is attributed to the early stages of him joining the band after the split from Tate when the fan division occurred with the Tate fans not accepting a new singer, and to this day some don't, however most of those people probably weren't paying much attention to the last few Tate led Queensryche records and therefore were basing that premise off past glories.

In the interview I posted in the new album thread with Todd, which also can be found in the Todd La Torre solo album thread, is a really good informative interview and he addresses that question in that interview also, speaking of how a lot of fans embraced him but some were like "oh nobody can replace Geoff Tate in Queensryche" kind of mentality.
So I think these guys may have been either referring Todd saying that in interviews while discussing the situation over the years or they possibly even saw that interview and were using that as a basis for the question. That's how I take it anyway.

Also they always put the controversial stuff in the headline or first paragraph of the write up to get people to read it. Notice the headline "ex Queensryche singer Geoff Tate is not really motivated to work out differences with his former bandmates" that part of the interview is a flash in the pan encompassing about thirty seconds of the interview and not saying anything he hasn't already said. That's how I see it.

Here is an interview with Geoff from July of last year with Shawn Shroeder https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0m60i36ZmOo

Here is one from August last year with Lukas Gordon Show

I don't think these two have been posted before.

Newer interview Tate did with Totally Driven Radio in December. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5PpWeDFC80

At 15:05 he says he's "been making a sort of commercial of my life for this project I'm working on, and I have to take these photographs of myself and upload them into a video." What the hell is that he's talking about??
