Motorhead
« on: December 29, 2015, 01:18:33 PM »
RIP Lemmy. I can't say I was ever a huge Motorhead fan but I did get to see them a few times live and remember jamming out to Ace of Spades, Bomber, and No Sleep Till Hammersmith in my teens and having one of those cool Motorhead shirts back in the 80's. 1916 and Orgasmatron were other albums I picked up. But Lemmy was an icon in the metal world. The Clint Eastwood of metal. Always fast, loud and raucous and the Lemmy/Taylor/Fast Eddie lineup was certainly my favorite.

This sounds interesting and will be worth keeping an ear out for. Lemmy, Wurzel, Phil Campbell and Fast Eddie appear on this finally being released recording.

Speaking of Motorhead, been hearing their cover of the Stones Sympathy For The Devil on a tv commercial in the Philly area the last month or so. Not a bad version by Motorhead standards  ;D
