Hahaha, thanks guys. We've got two more gigs lined up between now and February, and are hoping to get a few summer festival gigs lined up. This ain't something we're gonna be making (much) money on, but it's a bit of silly fun to do in our spare time.

I take my Jagger inspiration from a lot of his most recent live stuff, like from the last 10-20 years or so. I'm not much interested in his early live stuff. Just a preference.

Not too shabby there rock, love the wig right on the money  ;D here's a little inspirational homework for ya, ya gotta dig back and incorporate some of the mid to late 70's swagger.

Hot Stuff promo video 76:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVpzrxjiAtc
Miss You live 78: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZHwmzJa2UM
Shattered live 78: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYvy3kBYN4Q

You guys should definitely do Shattered  8)

Ugh, man I can't stand Shattered. That might be the one tune of theirs I actively avoid learning if the band wants to do it. Just such a boring song.

Hot Stuff, though. Now there's a funky fuckin jam I'd like to do. We do Miss You as well, though I don't play guitar. I just prance around like a dandy.

Thanks again guys. Sympathy was one of those songs I just didnít give a shit about over the years for some reason. Didnít care about the Stones version, the GNR version, didnít even care about our version when we started rehearsing it. I thought the song was just so dull because it didnít really go anywhere. Plus it was long. The only thing I hate more about a dull song is one thatís over five minutes long.

But somewhere during rehearsal I started getting into it. I think the biggest thing for me is how we differentiated the verses. The opening verse has that percussion tracked in through the speakers (until the band drops in at the first ďPleased to meet you, hope you guess my nameĒ and then itís off to the races Ė hands down my favourite part in the whole song), the second verse is the full band and then the third verse starts in with the backing vocal ooo-oooís. Thereís nothing really different about the fourth verse, but whatever. All those choices are representative of how the Stones have performed it live, allegedly (I wouldnít know, ask our guitar player).

Iíve been told that Sympathy is a lot of peopleís favourite Stones song. Iím slowly starting to realize why.

Yeah, I agree with the general consensus that Sympathy was much better than Satisfaction  8)

My Rolling Stones tribute band just finished a show this past weekend where we got a bit of a horn section for half the show. Had a pretty good time. Here's a short clip of "Bitch" for those interested:

Here's a full video of us doing "Tumbling Dice." Didn't realize how popular a song this was until just recently.
