Robin Trower
« on: October 27, 2015, 04:50:51 PM »
Another of the guitar gods, no doubt is Robin Trower having started his career with Procol Harem and then moving on to some tasteful Blistering Blues in his solo band and he is still at it today in his 70's I believe. And his last record released last year was pretty damn good.  Some of the most emotional passionate playing I've ever heard, right up there with Gary Moore, Carlos Santana, and Stevie Ray Vaughn in my book.

Bridge of Sighs (live tv 1974) The late great James Dewar on vocals and guitar. I put Dewar right up there with Paul Rodgers AWESOME blues vocalist.

Bridge of sighs (live 2005) He doesn't age playing wise.

The 1st live album is a classic as is the BBC one that was recorded in 76. Also there is a DVD from 2005 from a show he did on his birthday in Germany. Also the vocals of James Dewar who was with him in the 70's early 80's and Davey Pattison who did vocals late 80's and off an on thru the 90's and 2000 are great and also Robin's project with Jack Bruce (BLT/Truce/Seven Moons)is worth checking out too.

Wouldn't mind seeing Trower, he seems to still be playing really well. He's got to be getting pretty up there in age now.
