Long Distance Runaround and Roundabout with Tony Kaye https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jQ0b1tDmWo
Soon excerpt from Gates of Delirium (this guy thought it would be a good idea to follow the live track with the original recording for some reason, but ok)

London Palladium 3/25
Tempus Fugit with Trevor Horn https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xytRamkGpwg

Davison's vocals are pretty fuckin impressive if you ask me.
Seems Alan White is not doing too much thus far on this tour with accounts saying Jay Schellen is playing most of the drums. hmmm

White was having issues getting through the set in May of 2016 when I saw them. Then later that year it was announced he had back issues .  Depending on what the surgery was for in his back and the success rate for it, this may be the best it's gonna get for him.

Yeah I read about that but thought he had returned to duty since that situation, maybe not  :-\

The we also have the other Yes touring lineup of ARW capitalizing on the 50th anniversary and releasing a live set
http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/yes-feat-jon-anderson-trevor-rabin-rick-wakeman-50th-anniversary-live-at-the-apollo-due-in-september/

seeing some rumblings around the net that are saying Rabin has said he is not continuing the ARW project deep into 2019 as he has other pending soundtrack etc. work lining up that he wants to pursue and resume. if that is the case I don't think we'll be seeing any new studio material from those guys.

Thought I'd read that Rabin got a new agent that was lining up more soundtrack work for him.  Considering that's what's paid his bills the last 30 years or so, can't blame him.  From the beginning of this project they knew it was going to be a short term commitment from Rabin.  We'll get some professional recordings out of it at least.

White has been playing a few songs at shows on this tour, but Schellen has been doing most of the set each night.  He's a good drummer, saw him with Asia (John Payne years) and with the Raiding The Rock Vault show in Vegas.

This probably signifies that Yes ARW has ran it's course and is done what they set out to accomplish. Sucks I didn't get around to seeing them, but I'll have the live dvd forthcoming at least.

Saw Yes Friday night at the Fillmore in Philly. Awesome show, pretty cool venue too, first time I've been to that place as it is relatively new. It was the first of two shows at the venue. They played Friday and Saturday night and had a Yes expo there as well. Roger Dean was there doing meet and greets and had a bunch of his art work on display. Trevor Horn and Patrick Moraz were both there and both guested during the show. Tony Kaye also performed on the encore set with the band. Alan White performed on I think the last four songs of the night, Awaken and then the encore set.

Set list was as follows:

Set 1
Close to the Edge
Nine Voices
Parallels
Mood for a Day
Leaves of Green
Fly From Here (part 1: We can Fly) with Trevor Horn
Sweet Dreams
Heart of the Sunrise

intermission
Set 2:
Perpetual Change
Does it Really Happen
Soon (with Patrick Moraz)
Awaken (with Alan White)

Encore:
Yours is No Disgrace (with Kaye/White)
Roundabout (with Kaye/White)
Starship Trooper (with Kaye/White)

Solid crowd, venue holds about 2,500 so I was told. The place wasn't filled to capacity by my judgement but it was well attended. The fact they played two nights probably cut into the Friday night crowd a little. Plus they also played Atlantic City on July 14th. Their crowds have been dwindling a little in recent years on shows that I've seen. Considering this was a band that used to sell out the Philadelphia Spectrum multiple nights back in their prime.

Really good show. I was impressed with how well Sherwood performed on bass (not easy shoes to fill), and Downes seemed to step up his game this time around. Great to see Trevor Horn, Patrick Moraz and Tony Kaye perform. Tickets were pretty pricey for these shows, due I guess to the smaller venue. I paid $91 for the ticket after the service fee's plus they got me for like $20 for preferred parking  ::) but it was a great show. Definitely glad I went. Probably will be my last time seeing them.

Pretty good, Wakeman and Rabin can definitely still bring it.

Love the synthesizer solo in Rhythm of Love, that was cool. I'll buy this to see Wakeman alone, the rest is a bonus.  :D

This sounds cool Yes have announced a new tour "The Royal affair" featuring Yes, a revamped Asia, Carl Palmer's ELP legacy with guest vocals by the legendary Arthur Brown  :D and John Lodge from the Moody Blues.

It doesn't say anything about Carl Palmer doing any type of performance with Asia. I would have thought he definitely would join Howe on a few songs with them as it looks like Howe is going to play at least a few songs with Asia, in addition to doing the full Yes set.

Ron Bumblefoot Thal as the new guitarist and vocalist of Asia  :o that is surprising to see. So Asia's new lineup is Geoff Downes, Billy Sherwood, Bumblefoot and it doesn't really say who else other than that Howe will do a special performance.
