This sounds worth picking up and checking out. DVD release of Jon Lord's last concert with the band and featuring Don Airey playing along side him , from 2002 Live At The NEC.

Here is a review of it from CRR

Could this be the beginning of a farewell tour for Deep Purple?

New song stream for the first song released from the new album Infinite.

Time for Bedlam
http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/deep-purple-unveils-infinite-album-artwork-releases-time-for-bedlam-single/

This song is pretty bad ass I'm liking this tune a lot. I like the spoken intro and outro and it has some ass kickin organ and a cool groove. I wasn't expecting anything near this good. If there are a few more of these on that record I will be buying this one.

I like it, has some of that old school Purple sound in there to my ears. Pretty good song outright. The last two I bought were Bananas and Rapture of the Deep, wasn't all that impressed overall with either, so I passed on Now What?. So I will need quite a bit more to justify picking it up, but this is a good start.

In fact I've got every one of their albums except for Now What? I think. One that I do need to check back out is the Slaves and Masters album with Joe Lynn Turner, I don't think I've given that one a serious listen in quite some years.

I'm not sure if this is my first post ever here but Ill take this opportunity to encourage you, NJF, to give Slaves and Masters another spin. Granted I like JLT so wasn't as horrified by him as many other DP fans but S&M has some excellent guitar work by my personal music god Ritchie Blackmore.  :)

I remember you, nice to see you back around  ;) we spoke a few times about Blackmore/Purple/Rainbow quite a while back.

I'm listening to Slaves and Masters right now.  8)

Not a bad album. Definitely more Rainbow sounding to me than a Purple album per se. I think it kind of picks right up where Straight Between the Eyes and Bent Out of Shape left off. Has some strong tracks , I liked King of Dreams, The Cut Runs Deep, Fire in the Basement, Fortune Teller and The Truth Hurts. Love Conquers All is a decent ballad. First half of the album I felt was stronger than the second half.

These old boys got a little gas left in the tank, Another solid song premier from the new album.

http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/video-premiere-deep-purple-all-i-got-is-you/

Nice guitar and beat, some of the lyrics are cool, love Airey's keyboards on this one, He was a great choice to fill the keyboard slot for Lord, always liked Airey with Gary Moore and some of his other projects. I may have to check out the Deep Purple/Alice Cooper and Edgar Winter tour this summer, anybody's guess how much longer all these guys are going to hang around.
