Anybody keeping up with the family issue going on between Dweezil and his brother Ahmet and sister Diva? Apparently he can't call his shows Zappa Plays Zappa anymore because of his siblings but he's going to do a 50th anniversary show of Freak Out...

LOL Dweezil is now called "Dweezil Zappa Plays Whatever The Fuck He Wants" I believe that's what the next tour leg is now called  ;D

Those two were great. I never picked up any of that barrage of live and unreleased stuff that came out after he passed. Everything I have is standard releases that were released when he was still performing. I do have some of the "You can't do that on stage anymore" live compilations, some of which were excellent.

All the stuff the Barking Pumpkin and then the Zappa trust has put out over the years. I would like to see more video/dvd stuff, I'm sure they have tons. Even if just bits and pieces and maybe not full shows, I'd love to see more of that from all the different band incarnations over the years.

Ahmet Zappa working with Eyellusion on Frank Zappa hologram live production, which will evidently include several notable big names that performed in Zappa's many band lineups over the years.

I think the whole hologram thing is stupid, but at least it offers a chance to see all these great musicians that played with Zappa play the music together in a live setting, which is cool. I'd just rather it be with Dweezil out on some sort of Tribute tour, but without the hologram. If these hologram things are going to be a thing of the future, I don't think that's a good thing.

Whether your for against the hologram shit, I'm not a fan of it. But this is a pretty respectable bunch of Zappa Alum that Ahmet is putting together. Hey, I guess these musicians have to eat too , wtf.  :-\

Add in there Tommy Mars and George Duke on added keys, Flo and eddie, along with Ike Willis. Then add in Bozzio or Dunbar or Both and that might be the best show Ever   8)
