Those first two Ozzy albums are probably my favorite.

Everything up to Ozzmosis is great, lost interest after that one.

I think Jake is sorely underrated/overlooked.

Loved the first record with Zakk, not much else interested me after that.

To me the Randy era is sacred.

It's hard to like Oz as a person, as a singer he isn't my cup of tea either.

With that being said, the bands he's been a part of over the the years have had phenominal output.

Just look at some of the musicians he's worked with.

Guitars: Tony, Randy, Jake E, Zakk, Gus G
Bass: Geezer, Bob Daisley, Phil Soussan and more I'm sure
Drums: Bill Ward, Lee Kirslake, Tommy Aldridge - again, probably a ton I'm not mentioning.

I don't know what it is, but the man has a knack for finding and surrounding himself with talent. Working with any one of Tony, Randy or Jake would be a career highlight, let alone all 3 (and ok... Zakk too  :P)

I give Ozzy all due respect, but it's no secret he was so trashed in Black Sabbath for the most part, That was obviously the Tony and Geezer show. And his solo work it's also well documented that Bob Daisley and Lee Kerslake wrote all those songs with Randy's guitar work taking it over the edge, after which he leaned on Jake and then it was Zack coming in to save the day thereafter. So I think his best attribute was always surrounding himself with good people, but that gets harder to do as years go by when your wife and manager is undermining them and discrediting them at every turn. just my 2 cents  ???

My older brother was a big Ozzy fan growing up so I got into Ozzy through him. I was never much of a Black Sabbath fan, but my faves growing up were Bark at the Moon, Ultimate Sin and No Rest for the Wicked. I remember how the Speak of the Devil cover scared the crap out of me as a kid, because I'd always see it in the local K-Mart and thought Ozzy was the devil.

And as good of a song as Crazy Train is, I'm fine never hearing that goddamn song again in this lifetime.

I enjoy Ozzy's solo music for the most part up to 'No Rest For The Wicked' and to a lesser extent 'No More Tears'. That said, I prefer Black Sabbath by a country mile!

Be that as it may, it's important to say that there would be no Black Sabbath in my library had I not heard Ozzy music first.

The 'Bark At The Moon' tour in April 1984 was my first (of six) times seeing him live. Great show!

I thought this was pretty cool and funny. Ozzy and his kids on the Joan Rivers show Fathers day segment from 1991.

Ozzy and Zakk Wylde back together for 2017 Tour. Pretty cool
Be cooler if Ozzy could sing all the songs and wasn't 68 years old, lol, but nonetheless  8)
