Thanks for the heads up Shadow Walker. They definitely sound pretty good. If I make it over there I will make it a point to get there early to check them out. I have to go back and check the date on that one so I can write that down and see how my work schedule looks as the date gets closer.

I hear a lot of the usual Tate tendencies of recent years but also hear some vast improvements here and there. I think he is definitely started to step up his game lately. I don't think he likes Todd get the attention that he is in Queensryche and doesn't like being overshadowed by the fact that he can't belt it like that anymore, or for several years for that matter. I still think Todd currently blows him away but I do see some improvement and some effort. here are some recent performances with Avantasia.

Invincible (live premier Slovakia 3/27/19)  https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=avantasia+live+2019+geoff+tate&view=detail&mid=E20714D2F787CF8B78A2E20714D2F787CF8B78A2&FORM=VIRE
This is a great song but it is a ballad and has shared vocal duties but he sounds good.

Alchemy (Germany 4/9/19) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KtMen2jyf9I
Avantasia (Bratislava 3/28/19) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R803eH_yc6o

The Seven Angels https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=avantasia+live+2019+geoff+tate&view=detail&mid=5E114F19863B15F8D50F5E114F19863B15F8D50F&FORM=VIRE
These guys look like they put on a great fun show.

I stumbled upon this. Geoff is featured on a live release by German Pink Floyd tribute band Echoes on their live release "Live from the Dark Side" taken from the performance at Rock of Ages Festival 2018.

This blows away the Take Cover version.

Yeah Tate sounds really good on those performances. And frankly, he should. When he's only on stage for a small number of songs, it should be a relative walk in the park for him, as far as his voice is concerned. After all, he doesn't have to worry about saving his voice for the duration of an entire set. He can jump on stage, rip ass for 2-3 songs and then jump off. I bet he's having a ton of fun with those shows.
The problem is that you are correct.
