The End Machine ( Dokken's Classic lineup minus Don)
« on: January 12, 2019, 02:36:27 PM »
The End Machine is Dokken's classic lineup minus Don and substituting him with current Warrant singer Robert Mason. We all know Don Dokken's range has suffered immensely, so this should be a pretty interesting offering, this band playing with a better caliber (at this point) singer. First song released "Alive Today" is pretty decent I think.

I dig that tune. I'll definitely be giving this album a listen when it drops.
The problem is that you are correct.

Hate the video.  Seizure inducing

Kind of dig the song.  Sonically reminds me of the Lynch/Pilsen project in terms of style for some reason.  Mason's voice sounds strained to my ears.  Probably just an age thing maybe?

For any that don't know, Mason handled vocals on Lynch Mob version 2 for a while.  They did one studio album and a couple reissues/live releases.  I really dig that line up and album with Mason.  So definitely will be checking this out
Here is a track of Lynch Mob with Mason.  Whole album is good IMO.

He sounds great on that Lynch Mob song. I'll have to look more into them I never really dug into the Lynch Mob stuff. I've seen him with Warrant he is really good with them and does all the stuff justice. Good front man for them. Great classic Dokken sounding Lynch solo in that one, pretty awesome song.

Here is another new song from The End Machine

Full live show Whiskey a Go Go 4-4-19
Sound could be a little better Robert's vocals are down in the mix and the drums and bass up front too much but Lynch kicks ass.

Not bad at all though. Yes indeed Lynch still kicks ass. I saw he had to bail on the M3 show due to being sick, Mick Brown also didn't perform at that show, I think I read he's taking a break from touring for a while.
