Primiata Fornaria Marconi, later referred to as PFM are an Italian progressive rock band. They were the first Italian rock band to have success abroad charting in both the UK and USA. The core original lineup was made up of Franco Mussida (guitars, vocals), Flavio Premoli (keyboards), Luciano Davesi, who preceded Giorgio Piazza (bass), and Franz Di Cioccio (drums, vocals). The bands first two albums Storia Di In Minuto (1972) and Per Un Amico (1972) were recoded in Italian, after coming to the attention of Greg Lake (ELP) while that band was on tour in Italy, the band were signed to ELP's Manticore label and then released five albums with English lyrics from 1973-1977 beginning with Photo's Of Ghosts. Following this album Piazza left the band and was replaced by Patrick Djivas who has remained with the band since. In 1975 the band enlisted singer Bernardo Lanzetti, and released the album Chocolate Kings. Through multiple lineup changes the band continues presently with original member Franz Di Ciocco and Djivas. The band has released nineteen studio albums.

Definitely worthy of a skim through listen.
