Screamin Jay Hawkins

Screamin Jay Hawkins, born Jalacy Hawkins was an American singer, songwriter, musician and actor. Famous for his powerful operatic vocal delivery and wild theatrical performances. He sometimes used macabre props on stage (such as jumping out of a coffin) making him an early pioneer of shock rock. His best known hit was I Put A Spell On You in 1956. Hawkins performed and recorded from the fifties through December of 1999 before dying in 2000 of an Aneurysm.

Always Liked his version of I Put A Spell on You and loved when Arthur Brown
covered it later.  This is a killer cover of Paul's Monkberry Moon Delight great find.
