Big Bill Broonzy was an American blues singer, songwriter and guitarist. his career began in the 1920's. His career spanned through to the late 50's. His long and varied career made him one of the key figures in the development of blues music in the twentieth century. He copyrighted more than 300 songs in his lifetime, including both adaptations of traditional folk songs and original blues songs. Big Bill bronzy died in 1958 of throat cancer.
