Brian Robertson is a Scottish rock and metal guitarist best known as a member of Thin Lizzy during their commercial peak and as the guitarist who initially replaced Fast Eddie Clarke in Motorhead in 1982. He played on several Thin Lizzy albums between 1974 and 1978, and played on Motorhead's Another Perfect Day album in 1983 along with The king biscuit flower hour sessions and left the band later that year.

 He also had a band Wild Horses that he formed with Jimmy Bain (Rainbow, Dio) that also featured drummer Kenney Jones (Faces, Rod Stewart, The Who) and guitarist Jimmy McCulloch (Stone the crows, Wings)initially and later drummer Clive Edwards (Pat Travers, Uli Roth) and guitarist/keyboardist Neil Carter (UFO). Wild Horses released two studio albums Wild Horse (1980) and Stand your Ground (1981) as well as a live album Live in Japan 1980. 

He appeared on Eric Burdon's Darkness, Darkness album in 1980, He appeared on the One Night in Dublin: A tribute to Phil Lynott concert dvd in 2005 along with Thin Lizzy alumni Gary Moore, Brian Downey, Scott Gorham, and Eric Bell. In 2011 he released his first solo album Diamonds and Dirt.

He has played or guested on several others albums over the years.
