Sellersville Theatre, Sellersville, PA June 13, 2018
Operation Mindcrime
I don't believe in love
Jet City Woman
Silent Lucidity
Suite Sister Mary

That drummer still sucks big time.

I think that dude got lost on his way to the 1987 Whitesnake auditions, how he turned up on this tour is still a mystery  8)

Just visiting a classic blast-from-the-past! In retrospect, I'd never seen End Of Line respond that fast to someone's post. One of the MANY times his emotions got the best of him. To this day, it remains the most memorable for me.  ;D... >:D

Man, I had a FIELD DAY with that Man/Machine Imperfection thing and the “So I Found This Interesting...” thread. I like how Grappler and Lucretia were doing most of the heavy lifting in that thread, but Blackbird at one point had to chime in and give his two cents. I seem to recall him apologizing for the spelling mistakes because he was on his phone or something (my theory was that his hands were shaking on account of his rage). I like to think that day went a little like this:

Grappler: Hey Blackbird, how’s it going?
Blackbird: Hey G, how are you?
G: Fine. Where are you right now?
B: Oh just driving to the supermarket, hoping I can “accidentally” bump into Michael Wilton in the produce section.
G: Alright, well –
B: Hey Grappler?
G: Yeah man?
B: I probably sound like a broken record but this original track listing of the Warning is the SHIT.
G: Yeah, no. I know it is.
B: I mean it’s REALLY good. Like I’ve been driving around for an extra 20 minutes?
G: Yeah.
B: JUST so I can listen to it end on Roads to Madness and start up again with NM156.
G: Because of the whole cyclical thing?
B: BECAUSE OF THE WHOLE CYCLICAL THING. YES. It’s fucking amazing. I mean shit, if I actually do run into Whip today, I’ll see if he wants to get back in my car so he can listen to a bit of it. Like it’s just TOO good, man.
G: Yeah, ok –
B: Like FUCK it’s good.
G: Ok so we got a bit of a situation here.
B: Oh yeah? And what’s that?
G: Ok so you know that thread you started about Todd blocking you on Twitter?
B: Yeah? What, did Todd chime in? I didn’t get a notification that he had signed on or anything...
G: No, no. It’s...there’s this new user who signed on a couple days ago. And he –
B: Oh yeah? What’s his name?
G: Uhm...Man/Machine Imperfection?
B: Fucking SOLID name, man.
G: Yeah. Anyway, he –
B: Does he have an avatar or anything?
G:’s like a robot or something.
B: Fuckin’ I like this guy already. Seriously, if someone posts as Man/Machine Imperfection – coz Grap, you know that’s a line from NM156, right? Then I like ‘im already. Sweet. Ok, so what about him?
G: Well, he kinda walked into that thread of yours and took a big dump on it.
B: What? What do you mean?
G: Well, he said...well, do you want me to read some of it?
B: Sure yeah.
G: Ok. Uhm...”Is the Breakdown Room a credible music press outlet? No, it’s a fan forum. Regardless of what role the forum might have played in the past, the fact remains it’s not a music press outlet. Nothing to be ashamed of. Regarding your credentials, and with respect Blackbird, you don't technically write for a music news site. You wrote a review on your own fan forum, sure, but it's not the same thing.”
B: WHAT. Motherfucker.
G: Yeah, it’s pretty long. He says, let’s see, Todd didn’t question your journalistic integrity...Todd may not have even seen the review...talks about the Amazon leak –
G: Dude, dude just lemme finish.
B: So it was Todd then, right? Are the IP addresses the same?
G: No I checked before I called you, not Todd, not Danae Saree. Nobody I’d seen before.
B: Fuck.
G: So he goes into this fucking thing about likening the Amazon leak to a friend finding a birthday present in your sock drawer...
B: Wait, like MY sock drawer?!?
G: No, no’s sock drawer. Like someone’s sock drawer.
B: Can you read it to me? I don’t know what you’re talking about.
G: What, like the bit about the sock drawer?
G: “The leak understandably upset the band. Imagine you buy a gift for a friend's birthday and he finds it a month early. Rather than shove it back in your sock drawer (just go with me on this), he opens it up a full month before he knows he should have, and then to add insult to injury, he tells all his friends about how he got it early and how awesome it is. Sure you're happy for your friend, but at the same time you have to be thinking "screw you Dave for ruining the surprise." Not only that, you're disappointed he not only didn't think "This is wrong. I'm going to put this away and wait a month for when my friend wants to properly gift this to me" but he also unapologetically encouraged all his friends to go through their friends' sock drawers in hopes of them getting an early present too. That is how I believe certain members of the band view the leak and the handling of the situation by The Breakdown Room, rightly or wrongly. And yes, my metaphors stink.”
B: What in the fuck is this guy talking about? Sounds like something stupid fucking Rockox would say. Did you check his IP address?
G: I did. It’s not him.
B: Fuck.
G: But check out this part here. “I wonder if we're not being told the whole story. A year or so ago on one of the other Queensryche forums, Blackbird sold off his old Rising West paraphernalia and had a sudden disinterest in the Todd-fronted version of the band, a reason for which he never shared publicly. Completely his right, I will add. However, if that was somehow due to some personal issues between Blackbird and Todd (or any other member of the band), or if over the last couple of years they have had other personal issues between them, then it's unfair for Blackbird to engage us in this conversation without offering up that potentially related and important piece of information. Maybe Blackbird and Todd were pals before and something happened to damage that relationship and now they greatly dislike each other on a personal level. I would hope that's not the case, not only because of how unfortunate that would be for the both of them, but also because that would mean this community is wrongfully getting involved in little more than an ugly spat between former friends without being presented with all the facts.”
G: I mean, dude, you kinda made it a bit obvious when you created the thread, didn’t you?
B: HE FUCKING KNOWS. Hold on, I gotta pull over here. I can barely fucking see straight.
G: Ok.
B: FUCK! (mumbling) And here Lucretia kept fucking saying it was a good idea to start that thread...
G: So what do you want to do?
B: Ok well....FUCK! Ok, can you jump into the thread and tell this guy he can’t talk about anything about whether Todd and I do or do not have a personal relationship. Do it in public so we can shame this asshole.
G: Lucretia already said something to that effect.
B: Ok good. Uhm...(deep exhale) ok, I’ll write a quick something now and write more later today. But dude, in the meantime, you lay the fucking banhammer down on this guy if he gets out of line.
G: Ok, will do.
G: What? What now?
B: Fucking Michael Wilton is walking out of the supermarket right now! I missed my fuckin’ chance, man! FUCK! It ain’t my day, man. It ain’t my fuckin’ day.
G: Ok, I...I gotta go, man. You got this though?
B: Yeah, yeah. I got this. Thanks for letting me know.
G: No problem.
G: Ok, talk to you soon.
B: Yeah, ok. TAKE HOLD.
G: (click)
B: (whimpering)...of the flame.

QUEENSRYCHE: / Re: New Album Thread for the upcoming 2019 release
« on: August 20, 2018, 03:11:35 PM »
It looks like all they have lined up presently is the little run of a half dozen or so dates with the Scorpions and three other dates mixed in from August 31 through Sept 22. I'd suppose after that they are going to start working on some video's,  getting things in order for the album release, lining up the tour itinerary for next year and taking a little breather maybe from the fly in dates, so probably after that short September run we will start seeing some teasers or getting some album info  8) :-\

Here's Rustvold from 5/9/18 (and MANY times before that for over a decade... C:-)... ::)):

"I have no interest in seeing 'Mindcrime', nor am I interested in a "Greatest Hits" set."

Now, from 8/13/18:

"I'm seeing him (Tate) this week (playing 'O:M' in its entirety). Looking forward to it."  ::).... :D... ::)

That End Of Line! He's justifying going to this because someone told him that Tate's band is using a process called "amp modeling". It makes their "sound come out sounding like Chris and Michael." Really? Give me a break. ::)... :D

Translation: Rustvold really misses his long-distance "friendship" with Queensryche, who severed ties with him years ago.

Now he misses Tate, who also severed "ties" with him years ago. More than that, he misses his defunct message board, which he deleted because the truth has emerged about him...... courtesy of this thread.   C:-)

EOL is notorious for inconsistency, which lessens his credibility more and more as time goes on. Embarrassing indeed.
  :-[.... ::)

This is a tie for post of the week  8) well a woman's prerogative is to change her mind. Right? haha  >:D

;D 8) Very likely scenario possibilities Livgrnfan, he likely has been just trying to out wait this forums existence before doing so, or he likely would have already done it  C:-) >:D

:D Well, I hope then that our leader (I mean this affectionately) NJFIREFIGHTER decides to keep this forum open for a long long time.  There's no need to re-inflict that parasitic BDR ego-forum on this saturated internet.  More importantly, I'd miss you all too much.  ;)

Post of the week  8)

He needs to get off his airplane for a minute and make a guest appearance on Queensryche's new record
Chris is the one playing drums!  ;D

;D ;D That was funny, good one!

New Steve Perry solo album on the way and first new song released. This isn't bad, he sounds a lot better than I expected here. He is after all almost 70 and has been away from the scene for many years. I'll be curious to hear more from this.

60's Rock Invasion / Re: The Guess Who

I'll pass on that. I'll stick with my Greatest Hits record, Live at the Paramount, and American Woman.  8) These guys did have quite a few great tunes back in the day.

Blues Greats / Re: Tedeschi Trucks Band
« on: August 15, 2018, 02:00:56 PM »
Derek is a great guitarist, loved his work on the Allman Brothers final studio album Hitting the Note, and the live One Way Out that followed it. Tedeschi Trucks is a little bit of a different animal but he certainly gets his opportunities to jam.

Someone Else? / Re: When should a band hang it up?

Cooper and Purple still sound good and definitely are the better half of that group of four presently without question.

70's Classic Rock / Re: Nazareth
« on: July 24, 2018, 04:58:51 PM »
It's better than that new Guess Who song, but no this is no longer Nazareth with it down to just the bass player. That would be like Queensryche with nobody left but Ed Bass, Crue with just Nikki, Dokken with only Pilson, Purple with only Glover. No thanks.

This is interesting, Great White trying not to be one up'd by Ratt, apparently parts ways with Terry Ilous via email. Didn't see that one coming but I don't think he was all that well regarded by the old school Great White fans so I suppose a change was inevitable, despite how steadfastly they backed and stood behind the guy for so long. His replacement Mitch Malloy doesn't sound to me like somebody who is going to want to stick around all that long looking at his background and credentials, we shall see.
